Craig Alanson’s space opera the Expeditionary Force is an amazing and imaginative dive into the exploits of Joe Bishop as the human race is plunged into an intergalactic war. I absolutly love this series. The galactic sized world the author created is an absolute joy to explore. Throughout the series we are introduced to a a myriad of unique and interesting species, all with their own fascinating societies. However, all of that is just icing on the cake. The real heart of this series is the interactions between Joe and Skippy. The jokes those two play on each other have me laughing out loud every time. So if you love large-scale spaces battles and hilarious jokes, then the Expeditionary Force series is the one for you. As of writing this review, there are currently 12 books in the series.
